Get Excited! It's Time to Tell Your Story...
Real Life teams post their personal blogs on one team web site (check out the Kenya team's blog: http://kenya.adventures.org/)... until you radical Real Lifers came along! Because you're going to be on the field for double the length of time of most Real Life participants, we're giving you your very own blogging web site to communicate your experiences to your friends, family and supporters while on the field.
Hundreds of people are going to be reading your blogs. You have an amazing opportunity to share the gospel and inspire your readers as you communicate the passion and adventure of your hearts. This is only going to work if your heart and passion come through in your voice.
Therefore, in order to begin to find your written voice and learn to tell an impactful story people are going to want to read, we're giving you three assignments to complete before launching your personal blog web sites.
Below are your assignments and their due dates.
-
My Story/Testimony - Due Thursday 4/14
-
My Most Powerful & Vivid God Encounter - Due Thursday 4/21
-
My Greatest Failure, My Greatest Redemption - Due Thursday 4/28
Each blog post must have:
- 500-750 words
- 1-3 pictures
- An interesting title
- Good grammar, punctuation & fluency
After you've posted your blog, I'll read them and post a feedback response on what worked really well and how it could be more impactful.
Note: All three assignments must be completed by every participant before we will launch personal blog web sites.

These assignments are meant to get you ready to share your stories with the world. Once you get on the field you'll be required to post a blog once a week, so it's helpful to get into the habit now.
Remember, you have a story to tell and it's uniquely and beautifully YOU! You have no idea how many lives you're going to touch... or even change by simply sharing your experiences and encounters with God around the world.
If you have any questions or you run into trouble posting your blogs, just post a comment here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Happy blogging!
